SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Government of Liberia Announces Scholarship Opportunities for the 2024/2025 Academic Year in Partnership with the Government of Morocco.

The Government of Liberia, in collaboration with the Government of Morocco, is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for the 2024/2025 academic year. The scholarships are available for studies in Medical Science (General Medicine – Bachelor’s and Postgraduate Degrees) and Engineering (Graduate Programs).

Scholarship Programs Available:

II.Doctoral Degree in Medical Specialties:

The following specialized medical science courses are offered:

– Oncology

– Clinical Pathology

– Pediatric Medicine

– Geriatric Medicine

– Gastroenterology

– Cardiology

– Neuroscience

1.Master’s Degree in Engineering:

The available disciplines include:

– Construction Engineering

– Mechanical Engineering

– Electrical Engineering

– Civil Engineering

– Environmental Engineering

– Telecommunication Engineering

– Computer Engineering

– Electronics Engineering

– Mining Engineering

III. Bachelor’s Degree:

– General Medicine

Note: All studies will be conducted entirely in French.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria For Bachelor’s Degree (General Medicine):

– Be a Liberian national.

– Have graduated from high school in 2023 or 2024 with a minimum average of 80% (Grade “B” or higher).

– Have successfully passed the WAEC or WASSCE exams, including credits in Mathematics and  English

– Be no older than 22 years at the time of application.

For Master’s and Doctoral Degree (Medical Specialties):

– Be a Liberian national.

– Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher.

– Be no older than 35 years at the time of application.

Application Requirements:

Eligible candidates must submit. THREE (3) SETS of the following documents:

  1. Notarized copies of the high school transcript and diploma.
  2. Notarized copies of the WAEC or WASSCE certificate.
  3. Photocopy of the birth certificate.
  4. Photocopy of a valid ECOWAS-Liberian Biometric Passport (valid for at least five years).
  5. A valid medical certificate (preferably from the Jorkpen Town Medical Lab, located opposite Don Bosco High School, 8th Street, Sinkor).
  6. Six recent passport-size photos with a white background. The candidate’s full name and nationality must be written on the back of each photo.
  7. Statement of Intent for Bachelor’s applicants, detailing the applicant’s academic background, reasons for choosing the field of study, potential to succeed, and how the degree would contribute to Liberia’s development.
  8. Research Proposal for Master’s and Doctoral applicants in Medical Specialties.
  9. A comprehensive CV with contact details (phone number and email address).
  10. Two recent letters of recommendation (one academic and one professional).
  11. A recent police clearance.

Submission Deadlines:

– Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 4:00 PM for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree applicants.

– Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 4:00 PM for Doctoral Degree (Medical Specialties) applicants.
