Deputy Minister of Education for Administration Atty. Nyekeh Y. Forkpa Inspires Participants at Booker Washington Institute’s 96th Founder’s Day Celebration

Honorable Atty. Nyekeh Y. Forkpa, Deputy Minister of Education for Administration, served as keynote speaker at the 96th Founder’s Day of Booker Washington Institute (BWI) on June 28, 2025.

Speaking under the theme “Towards 100 Years of Excellence,” he commended the BWI community for preserving the institution’s legacy and called on all stakeholders to build on the achievements of its founders.

“As you reflect on this rich history,” he said, “remember the foundation laid before you carries a profound responsibility.”

He urged students to pursue knowledge relentlessly and apply it to national development, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to educational excellence as BWI nears its centennial.

Education, he emphasized, remains the cornerstone of Liberia’s progress.
