Empowering Educational Leadership: Capacity-Building Initiative in Financial Management
On October 30, 2024, the Ministry of Education of Liberia, through its Bureau of Fiscal Affairs and Human Resource Development, launched a vital two-day capacity-building initiative in Grand Cape Mount County.
This program is designed to enhance the financial management skills of public school principals and registrars, with a focus on promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance.
Led by Assistant Minister Honorable Jonathan Sam Jackson, the training emphasized the importance of effective financial management processes in improving school operations and ensuring responsible expenditure.
In addition, Assistant Minister for General Administration Honorable Boakai highlighted the critical need for efficient management of school assets among public school administrators.
His address reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility, advocating for meticulous recording and oversight of school resources.
By instilling these key principles, the initiative aims to foster a culture of responsible stewardship and integrity among educational leaders, ultimately enhancing the overall effectiveness of Liberia’s public education sector.
