The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with UNICEF-Liberia, is proud to announce the launch of the National School Quality Standards across 200 model schools. This landmark initiative aims to elevate the quality of education services through a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach.
The rollout includes a series of training sessions designed to bolster the leadership capacities of school administrators, ensuring they are well-prepared to manage and govern their schools effectively. This training is an essential precursor to the forthcoming school quality assessment exercise.
The first phase of the training is taking place at the Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute in River Gee County from July 15 to 19, 2024. The second phase will be held at the Zorzor Rural Teacher Training Institute in Lofa County from July 22 to 26, 2024. The final phase will be conducted at the Kakata Rural Teacher Training Institute in Margibi County from August 5 to 9, 2024.
Upon completion of the training program, a total of 600 school leaders, including Principals, Vice Principals for Instruction, and PTA Chairpersons, will have received this vital training.
