Ministry of Education and Youth For Change Officially Launch the Liberia National Debate Championship 2025

Monrovia, Liberia | April 30, 2025

The Ministry of Education, through its Bureau of Student Personnel Services, in strategic collaboration with the renowned youth empowerment organization Youth For Change, has officially launched the 2024/2025 edition of the Liberia National Debate Championship.

This landmark initiative seeks to elevate critical thinking, sharpen public speaking abilities, and foster greater civic engagement among Liberian students.

With the compelling theme “Enhancing Students’ Participation in Civic Leadership and Democratic Governance,” the championship serves as a vibrant platform for students to articulate their perspectives on national issues, influence educational and policy reforms, and contribute to a culture of democratic dialogue and informed citizenship.

This prestigious competition is exclusively open to junior and senior high school students enrolled in schools duly accredited by the Ministry of Education. The championship will unfold in two strategic phases across all 15 counties of Liberia:
