Ministry of Education Announces Two-Week Extension for National Examinations Registration and Clarifies Payment Requirements
Monrovia, Liberia – February 8, 2025

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced a two-week extension for the registration period for candidates sitting for the National Examinations administered by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Liberia Chapter.
The new deadline for registration is February 21, 2025.
This extension aims to assist schools facing administrative challenges and ensures that all eligible candidates from the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th grades are properly registered for the upcoming examinations.
The Ministry urges schools to take full advantage of this extension and submit complete registration details to WAEC professionally and appropriately.
Payment Requirements:
3rd Grade (Public and Private Schools): L$1,000 + L$150 processing fee
6th Grade (Public and Private Schools): L$2,000 + L$150 processing fee

9th Grade (Private Schools): L$5,000 + L$150 processing fee
9th Grade (Public Schools): L$150 processing fee.
12th Grade (Public and Private Schools): L$150 processing fee (Government-sponsored)
The Government of Liberia is sponsoring all public school 9th graders and all 12th graders in both public and private schools across the country. Only the L$150 processing fee is applicable for these students.
