Ministry of Education Commences Second Phase of National Training for School Leaders

Ministry of Education Commences Second Phase of National Training for School Leaders.

The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the second phase of its training program for school leaders, scheduled to take place from July 22 to July 26, 2024, at the ZRTTI campus in Zorzor, Lofa County. This session will provide training for 240 principals, vice principals, and PTA leaders from the counties of Lofa, Nimba, Grand Bassa, and Rivercess.

This initiative follows the successful completion of the National School Quality Standards Capacity Building Training Workshop for the first cohort of 90 principals, PTA leaders, and vice principals, which took place at the WRTTI campus from July 15 to July 19, 2024.

The primary objective of this training is to equip school leaders with the necessary skills to effectively implement quality standards in their daily operations. This effort is part of a broader initiative to transform 200 schools into model institutions.

Over the next three years, the Government and UNICEF will provide support to these model schools to ensure they can disseminate the training and skills acquired to other schools in their vicinity.
