Ministry of Education Inspectorate Team Completes School Assessment Tour in Gbarpolu County

Bopolu City, Gbarpolu County, Liberia – June 12, 2024:

The Ministry of Education has successfully concluded a comprehensive school inspection tour in Gbarpolu County. The tour included visits to:

1. Bopolu Central High School

2. Eric Scott Memorial United Methodist School

3. Farwhenta Public School

4. Fassama High School Extension in Belleh Fassama District

5. Fassam Elementary & Jr. High School

6. Tarkpoima Central Elementary, Junior & Senior High School in Gbarma District

7. Gbarma Central High School

8. Weamawuo Jr & Senior High School among other schools.

The primary aim of this assessment was to rigorously evaluate the educational system, identifying barriers that hinder the achievement of equitable, accessible, and high-quality education across Liberia.

The Ministry is committed to addressing these educational challenges and is confident in its ability to garner the necessary support to bridge gaps impeding Liberia’s educational progress.

As part of this initiative, the Ministry will promptly and thoroughly review the findings to identify areas needing immediate attention and improvement. These school visits will be part of an ongoing and systematic process, highlighting the Ministry’s unwavering dedication to achieving tangible, positive changes in Liberia’s education system.
