Ministry of Education Launches Comprehensive Initiative to Strengthen Financial Accountability and Transparency in Public Schools.
In a pivotal move to enhance financial management within public schools, the Ministry of Education has initiated a budget defense program for all public school administrators in Montserrado County. This initiative follows the successful completion of a financial management training program and constructive dialogues with school principals and registrars.
The Bureau of Fiscal Affairs and Human Resources Development has organized the budget defense exercise in response to growing concerns over financial mismanagement, particularly spotlighted by ongoing investigations into Paynesville Elementary School. The program aims to ensure meticulous accounting for all funds collected in public schools, thereby fostering transparency and integrity throughout the education sector.
Assistant Minister of Fiscal Affairs and Human Resources Development, Honorable Jonathan Sam Jackson, emphasized the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to accountability. He assured the government, parents, and the public that every dollar collected in public schools will be diligently managed and transparently reported.
