Ministry of Education Launches Pioneering Radio Program to Empower Early Childhood Education Students in Liberia
Monrovia, Liberia – December 11, 2024

In an effort to enhance the academic development of Early Childhood Education (ECE) students, the Ministry of Education, through its Bureau of Early Childhood Education, successfully organized a one-day radio practice session specifically designed for young learners.
This innovative initiative leverages the engaging medium of radio to foster both confidence and improved academic performance among children in the formative stages of their education. The Ministry recognizes the significant value of educational radio programs and their positive impact on young audiences, particularly in the early years of schooling.
Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, the Honorable Minister of Education, expressed sincere appreciation for the unwavering dedication demonstrated by ECE educators. Minister Jallah commended their continued efforts and encouraged them to persist in their vital work, striving to enhance the overall learning experience for ECE students.

“The Ministry remains committed to providing a well-rounded education for children, ensuring they are well-prepared for future academic challenges. We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning through initiatives like these,” Minister Jallah stated.
The one-day radio practice session featured the participation of several distinguished educational institutions, including Peace Island Model Public School, J.C.N. Howard Public School, and Kiddies World Kinder Care Center, among others. The involvement of these schools enriched the learning experience, promoting collaboration and creativity among students.
The Bureau of Early Childhood Education, under the leadership of Assistant Minister Fasam Howard Nyenswa, has also scheduled an upcoming Diaspora event for students, set for December 20, 2024.
This event will offer students a platform to showcase their diverse skills and talents, fostering creativity and self-expression.

The Ministry of Education is committed to ensuring the provision of quality education to all children in Liberia, focusing on fostering an inclusive, equitable, and innovative educational environment that supports the academic and personal growth of students from early childhood through higher education.
