Ministry of Education Leads National Validation Workshop to Advance Inclusive and Foundational Learning in Liberia
Monrovia, Liberia – May 1, 2025

Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to educational transformation, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with UNICEF, successfully convened a one-day National Validation Workshop on April 28, 2025, at the Corina Hotel in Sinkor, Monrovia.

The workshop, held under the distinguished leadership of the Assistant Minister for Teacher Education, Hon. Clifford Konah, served as a strategic platform for reviewing and validating newly developed instructional materials jointly produced by the Ministry and UNICEF.
These materials are designed to benefit more than 200 schools across eight counties, contributing meaningfully to the promotion of inclusive education and the enhancement of foundational learning across Liberia.
In his remarks, Assistant Minister Konah highlighted the critical role of the validated resources in strengthening instructional delivery, ensuring that all learners—regardless of gender, background, or ability—have equitable access to quality education.

He further emphasized that the validation process guarantees that these materials meet international quality standards and align with Liberia’s national education goals.
The workshop brought together 40 participants, including representatives from UNICEF, the World Bank, and key education stakeholders from rural communities.
Through robust discussions and collaborative engagement, participants focused on enhancing the relevance, accessibility, and effectiveness of the instructional materials to ensure transformative impact in classrooms across the country.
