Ministry of Education Reinforces Commitment to Academic Excellence and Integrity
The Ministry of Education reaffirms its steadfast dedication to fostering academic excellence and integrity, in alignment with the Education Reform Act of 2011 and the academic calendar for the 2023/2024 school year.
To this end, the Ministry encourages all schools to permit students who have successfully completed any iteration of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)—including provisional, second, or third results—to participate in their promotional and graduation ceremonies. It is imperative that schools acknowledge the achievements of these students, ensuring recognition for their fulfillment of the academic requirements for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Furthermore, the Ministry will work closely with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to assess and enhance the processes related to test administration and the timely release of results. This collaborative effort aims to facilitate a smooth transition into the 2024/2025 academic year.
The Ministry extends its gratitude to educators and stakeholders for their commitment to advancing education and looks forward to continued progress in academic achievement.
