Announcement of Key Training and Data Collection Activities
The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce important events related to the Annual School Census (ASC) for 2024. This census will collect vital data for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 academic years.
In line with the Ministry’s goals, this initiative aims to enhance education planning and investment through accurate and timely data collection. This effort is a collaboration with the Education Management Information System (EMIS) and key partners, including USAID/Education System Strengthening Activity (ESSA), UNICEF, the UE, and others.
Schedule of Key Activities:
1. Public Awareness and Community Engagement
Dates: October 28 – December 15, 2024
This phase will focus on raising awareness in the community and media about the Annual School Census.
2. Printing and Dissemination of Annual School Census Data Collection Tools
Dates: November 1 – November 15, 2024
Hard copies of the finalized data collection tools will be distributed to schools across the country.
3. Training of Trainers (TOT)
Dates: November 18 – November 23, 2024
This training will equip trainers with the skills needed for effective data collection.
4. County-Level Training for Data Collection Personnel
Dates: November 26 – November 30, 2024
County personnel will receive specialized training to ensure efficient data gathering.
5. Field Data Collection Nationwide
Dates: December 1 – December 15, 2024
Data collection will occur in all regions to gather comprehensive information.
6. Data Cleaning and Analysis
Dates: December 21, 2024 – February 14, 2025
The collected data will be thoroughly cleaned and analyzed.
7. Submission and Publication of Final Census Report
Date: February 28, 2025
The finalized report will be submitted and made publicly available.
