Hope Restored! Minister Jallah Pledges Bright Future for Voluntary Teachers on Government Payroll
Monrovia, Liberia – September 4, 2025
The Ministry of Education, led by Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, is moving forward with plans to place 2,307 voluntary teachers on the Government of Liberia’s payroll.
These teachers, many of whom have served faithfully in some of Liberia’s most remote and underserved communities, were verified in a nationwide vetting exercise earlier this year in partnership with the Civil Service Agency (CSA). Their names were submitted between May 28 and June 26, 2025, and the onboarding process is now underway.
This step is more than a policy; it is a recognition of the dedication and sacrifice of our voluntary teachers. Their service has kept classrooms open, inspired students, and strengthened entire communities.
Minister Jallah has assured all verified teachers that the Ministry will complete this process with transparency, efficiency, and integrity.
“To every voluntary teacher: thank you. Your work is not only seen;it is celebrated. You are shaping Liberia’s future.” – Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah
