Bomi County Expanding Access to Secondary Education
The Ministry of Education has broken ground for the expansion of Beh Town Public Junior High School into a full Senior High School, addressing long-standing gaps in access to secondary education in Bomi County.

For years, students in Beh Town completed junior high school without a local pathway to continue their education. Many families faced financial strain, long travel distances, or the risk of students dropping out altogether.
Financed by the Government of Liberia through the 2025 National Budget under the Public Sector Investment Project (PSIP), the expansion will enable a seamless transition from junior to senior secondary education within the community, improving retention and learning outcomes.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Education emphasized that education infrastructure is about opportunity and keeping children in school, not just buildings. She urged the community to take ownership of the project.
As part of the event, 200 chairs were donated to the school, immediately improving classroom conditions and learning safety. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to equity, access, and results, starting where the need is greatest.
