Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah Delivers Keynote Address at Best Brains Academy Graduation Ceremony

Monrovia, Liberia – September 12, 2025

The Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, today delivered the keynote address at the graduation ceremony of Best Brains Academy’s Class of 2024/2025.

Held under the theme “The Importance of Quality Education for All Liberians Without Prejudice,” the event gathered a distinguished audience including Unity Party National Chairman and school proprietor Rev. J. Luther Tarpeh, government officials, religious leaders, educators, parents, and students.

In her address, Dr. Jallah congratulated the graduates for their resilience and achievement, emphasizing that their success reflects both a personal triumph and a contribution to Liberia’s development.

“Graduation is not just a ceremony,” she said. “It is a symbol of hope, a declaration of readiness, and a reminder that the future of this nation is being shaped today.”

Highlighting the theme of the occasion, Minister Jallah underscored that quality education is a basic human right, not a privilege, and called for national commitment to inclusive, equitable education for all children, regardless of gender, ability, or economic status.

“Education is the great equalizer,” she remarked. “It gives the child of a market woman the same chance as the child of a CEO. It allows a girl in Gbarpolu to dream as boldly as a boy in Monrovia.”

She also spoke frankly about systemic barriers such as high tuition costs, long travel distances, inadequate infrastructure, and the marginalization of children with disabilities.

“A prosperous Liberia cannot be built by educating only a privileged few. Every excluded child is a lost leader, a silenced teacher, a healer denied to our nation.”

Minister Jallah urged the graduates to see themselves not only as beneficiaries of education, but also as its champions, advocates for equity, mentors to their peers, and leaders for Liberia’s future. She commended parents, teachers, and education partners for their dedication.

Concluding her remarks, she issued a national call to action:

“We must build a Liberia where no child is left behind, where every child can say, ‘I was given a chance, and I made it count.’ With education as our compass, we will build a stronger, more inclusive, and more prosperous Liberia.”

The ceremony closed with celebration and applause as the Class of 2024/2025 embraced their achievement and looked forward to lives of leadership, innovation, and service.
