Ministry of Education and Educate the NextGen Partner to Launch the Liberia National Academic Excellence Award 2025
Yesterday, the Ministry of Education, through its Bureau of Student Personnel Services, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Educate the NextGen, a Liberian non-profit dedicated to building a network of emerging scholars and leaders, to launch the 2025 Edition of the Liberia National Academic Excellence Award.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to promoting merit, academic excellence, and healthy competition in Liberian classrooms.
For the 2025 edition of the Liberia National Academic Excellence Awards, the Ministry of Education and Educate the NextGen will jointly recruit, evaluate, and celebrate seventy-five (75) of Liberia’s most outstanding students, including the nation’s best debaters, quizzers, essayists, poets, spellers, top WASSCE scorers, and the valedictorians of the Louise Arthur Grimes School of Law, the A.M. Dogliotti School of Medicine, and the School of Pharmacy.

Candidates will undergo a national evaluation process, involving testing and interviews in various counties. The top seventy-five will then converge in Monrovia for the final recognition ceremony.
The official launch of this program is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Liberia Learning Center, near Paynesville City Hall. Application details and selection criteria will be shared via social media and the Ministry’s website in the coming days.
