Ministry of Education Honors 75 Outstanding Students at National Academic Excellence Awards

On December 14, 2025, the Ministry of Education, in partnership with Educate the Next Gen (ETN), honored 75 exceptional students from all 15 counties at the National Academic Excellence Awards, celebrating achievement earned through discipline, resilience, and determination.

Speaking under the theme “Beyond All Limits,” Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah emphasized that excellence is not accidental, especially in contexts shaped by overcrowded classrooms, limited materials, and long journeys to school. She reminded awardees that recognition carries responsibility, to lead with integrity, think critically, and serve their communities.

The Minister commended the Bureau of Student Personnel Services, led by Assistant Minister Hon. Sona T. Sesay, for upholding a transparent, merit-based process that ensures opportunity is earned, not given. Hon. Sesay reaffirmed that celebrating academic excellence is also a commitment to equity and national progress.

The awards reflect Liberia’s belief that when talent is recognized and supported, the nation moves forward.
