On Friday, Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah joined partners at the launch of the “Empower Her” Initiative at Paynesville City Hall, held under the theme “The Power of Self-Reliance:

Empowering Women with Disabilities for a More Sustainable Future.”

The initiative, led by Second Lady Madam Synleseh Stephanie Dahn Koung, builds on the landmark National Conference on the Status of Women Living with Disabilities held in March 2025. It seeks to train over 200 women in vocational and life skills, support 100 existing women-owned businesses, and provide start-up kits and micro-grants, advancing both economic empowerment and social inclusion.

In her remarks, Minister Jallah emphasized that nation-building begins with citizens who persevere and communities that embrace inclusion. She noted that when women are supported to learn, earn, and lead, the nation’s social fabric grows stronger.

The Ministry’s work under the Human Capital Development pillar of the ARREST Agenda reflects this vision , building a Liberia where every citizen, regardless of gender or ability, can contribute meaningfully to national progress. Because when inclusion becomes a shared responsibility, transformation becomes inevitable.
