Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen:
It is with profound humility and commitment I stand before you today at the official launch of the Liberia Artificial Intelligence Challenge—a bold and visionary initiative inspired and championed by His Excellency, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

This historic milestone reflects the President’s unwavering commitment to empowering young Liberians and accelerating the digital transformation of our nation. His dedication to innovation is not merely aspirational—it is transformative. Through his Digital Transformation Project, more than 10,000 young Liberians have already embarked on their journey toward digital literacy and future-readiness.
Today, that journey progresses further with a strategic focus on the defining technology of our time—Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Across the globe, AI is revolutionizing the way we live, work, and connect. It is reshaping industries, transforming economies, and addressing some of the world’s most complex challenges.
For Liberia, AI offers a timely opportunity to bridge the digital divide, stimulate creativity, and empower our youth—especially those from underserved communities—to compete, innovate, and lead in the digital age.
As Minister of Education, I wholeheartedly embrace this initiative and the transformative promise it holds for national development.
The Ministry stands ready to collaborate with all stakeholders—both domestic and international—to integrate AI training, digital literacy, and emerging educational technologies into our national curriculum.

I am also pleased to announce, for the very first time, the introduction of Microcloud C3 Technology in Liberian schools—an exciting achievement made possible through our partnership with the globally recognized Irise Project.
These innovative tools will enrich our school system, expand access to quality learning, and equip our students with the knowledge and skills not only to prepare for the future, but to shape and lead it.
To our brilliant young people, I say this:
This is your moment. Embrace it with courage, curiosity, and commitment. Dream boldly. Learn diligently.
The world is changing fast, and the future belongs to those who are prepared. We are here to walk with you every step of the way.
To our esteemed partners, stakeholders, and champions of innovation: thank you. Your continued support is a testament to our shared belief in the transformative power of education and technology.
Let us now move forward—united in purpose—to build a Liberia where innovation drives inclusion, entrepreneurship fuels progress, and every young Liberian is empowered with the tools and opportunities to thrive.
Thank you!
