Strengthening Teaching for a Digital Era
As part of its ongoing education reform agenda, the Ministry of Education has begun implementing an Introduction to Educational Technology initiative in partnership with RESPECT and the SPIX Foundation.

The initiative focuses on equipping teachers with practical EdTech skills that respond to Liberia’s classroom realities, low connectivity, limited resources, and the need for resilient, low-cost learning solutions. Through this work, teachers are being introduced to RESPECT Africa’s DPI-ED solution, alongside foundational digital competencies that can be integrated into everyday instruction.
This effort supports one of the Ministry’s core reform priorities: improving instructional quality by strengthening teacher practice and modernizing how learning is delivered, without leaving schools or communities behind.
Education reform is not about technology for its own sake but rather giving teachers the tools and confidence to teach well, in any context.
