The Ministry of Education has fined the Firestone Liberia School System LRD 500,000.

PRESS STATEMENT

The Ministry of Education has fined the Firestone Liberia School System LRD 500,000 for violating national graduation regulations by including ineligible students in its ceremony.

Partnerships with schools remain central to delivering quality education, but partnership does not mean exemption from the rules. Every institution, public or private, must comply with MoE standards that protect fairness, credibility, and the future of our children.

This action is part of the Ministry’s broader reform agenda to strengthen accountability and raise learning outcomes. We call on parents, school administrators, County and District Education Officers, and the public to join us in safeguarding standards. Report any suspected violations immediately through your local education office or the national hotline (1416).

Together, let us uphold standards that prepare students for real success, not ceremonial shortcuts.
