Today in Todee, Montserrado County, the Ministry of Education broke ground for a School Feeding Center at Dein Clan Public School, financed by the Government of Liberia through the Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP).
School feeding is one of the Ministry’s eight education reform priorities because it directly influences attendance, concentration, and student retention, particularly in early and primary grades. Without consistent nutrition, learning time is lost and inequities deepen.
The new feeding center will strengthen how meals are prepared and managed at the school level, improving efficiency, accountability, and student welfare. It is designed to support learning outcomes, not operate as an informal or temporary arrangement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah emphasized that education reform must address the real conditions that determine whether children remain in school and are able to learn.

Community leaders and school administrators were called on to protect and manage the facility to ensure sustained impact.
