In the pursuit of this noble mission, the Ministry has undertaken comprehensive assessments across the region, with an unwavering dedication to addressing the pressing challenges faced by schools. Minister Jallah emphasizes the urgency of proactive measures to swiftly implement necessary improvements.

During the ongoing nationwide assessment tour in the South East Region, Minister Jallah underscores the critical importance of collaborative efforts in strengthening education collectively.

A central focus of this initiative is the identification of specific interventions required to elevate educational standards in Rivercess County, guided by the meticulous findings of the comprehensive assessment.

Prominent among the schools evaluated are Toga McIntosh Elementary and Junior High, Fred Bernard Elementary and Junior High School, and Yarpah Town High School, all of which underscore the imperative need for enhancement.

Mr. Peter Knowlden, the County Education Officer, highlights a myriad of challenges, including inadequate seating, recruitment of volunteer teachers, teacher training, science laboratories, teacher accommodation, and the reactivation of school feeding programs.
