Automotive TVET Instructors Receive Portable Laptops to Enhance Professional Studies In Ghana

Monrovia, Liberia – April 23, 2024

In a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), a significant stride was made on Tuesday towards advancing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Ghana. Portable laptops were presented to eleven Automotive TVET Instructors, marking a pivotal moment in their professional development.

The recipients of the laptops, namely Kollie Gray, Jr, Emmanuel Kollie, Evelyn D. Philips, Rosetta S. Brown, Erica P. Sandy, Rachel Z. Freeman, Forkpah V. Karsor, Dextor P. Gbalah, Kezelee Y. Sayka, Cephus Muspoh, and Alphanso J. King, have been tasked with utilizing these tools to enrich their studies and enhance their instructional capabilities.

Honorable Amos Fulley, the Deputy Minister for Instruction, commended UNIDO for its steadfast dedication to bolstering the TVET training program in Ghana. He emphasized the pivotal role of TVET in the education sector and urged the instructors to seize the opportunity to further their professional expertise.

This initiative stands as a testament to the importance of capacity building and continuous learning opportunities, aiming to foster a competent workforce capable of making significant contributions to national development.

Mr. Anthony A. Nimely, Deputy Project Manager of UNIDO, expressed gratitude towards the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their collaborative efforts in advancing the TVET program. He reaffirmed UNIDO’s commitment to supporting the nation’s educational goals and emphasized the organization’s ongoing dedication to this cause.

Honorable Collins F. Tamba, Assistant Minister of TVET at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Honorable Nathaniel Cisco, Assistant Minister of TVET at the Ministry of Education, stressed the importance of the instructors’ dedication to their studies. They highlighted the critical role these professionals play in leveraging their expertise to enhance the country’s professional skills.
