Ministry of Education Collaborates with WFP to Enhance School Feeding Program in Liberia

The Ministry of Education, in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), has launched a pivotal two-day assessment tour spanning Montserrado, Nimba, and Bong Counties. Spearheaded by the Bureau of Student Personnel Services, this initiative aims to fortify the School Feeding Program, tackling obstacles to school enrollment and implementing strategic interventions for lasting effectiveness.

This assessment tour represents a comprehensive approach to bolstering the School Feeding Program, outlining crucial steps to amplify its impact on Liberia’s education landscape. Through the identification and resolution of existing challenges, the Ministry is steadfast in its commitment to establishing a more resilient and sustainable feeding program for students nationwide.

At the forefront of this assessment tour is Honorable Sona T. Sesay, Assistant Minister for Student Personnel Services, who is leading efforts to propel the School Feeding Program to unprecedented heights of success. This underscores the Ministry’s dedication to elevating school enrollment rates and enhancing educational standards throughout Liberia.

Today’s visit to schools in Montserrado yielded invaluable insights and direct feedback from esteemed institutions such as Oluremi Tinubu Public School, Euphemia Katumu Abdullai Demonstration, and Careyburg Elementary.
