Ministry of Education Inspectorate Team Commences Phase Two of Nationwide School Assessment Tour

(MONROVIA, LIBERIA – APRIL 25, 2024):

The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the commencement of phase two of its comprehensive school inspection initiative, covering Lofa, Bong, and Margibi Counties.

Commencing on Thursday, April 25, 2024, this Assessment tour will officially enter its second phase, concluding on April 30, 2024.

The primary objective of this Assessment tour is to conduct a thorough evaluation of the educational system, with a focus on identifying barriers to achieving equitable and accessible education across Liberia.

Supported by the government and valued partners, this collaborative effort demonstrates a steadfast commitment to sustainable educational development.

Under the leadership of Dr. Jallah and her team, the Ministry is dedicated to addressing educational challenges, with confidence in their ability to garner support and address gaps hindering Liberia’s educational journey.

As part of this initiative, the Ministry will undertake a swift yet comprehensive review to promptly identify areas in need of attention and improvement.

The nationwide tour will be executed in five meticulously planned phases, with phase two commencing in LOFA, BONG, AND MARGIBI Counties.

The team has finalized schedules for productive meetings, including crucial engagements with students, teachers, administrators, county and district education officers, parents, and all relevant education stakeholders.

Furthermore, school visits will be an ongoing and systematic process, underscoring the Ministry’s enduring commitment to effecting tangible, positive changes in Liberia’s education system.
