Ministry of Education announces that the Teacher Aid Program (TAP) has not been accredited and licensed by the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) to operate as higher Institution of learning in Liberia.
This pronouncement by the Ministry comes in a wake of a letter of inquiry concerning the status of the Teacher Aid Program with the NCHE sent by the Assistant Minister for Teacher Education, Hon. Gayflor Y. Washington.
The Ministry, having been informed officially through a written communication sent by the National Commission on Higher Education, urged the Public to refrain from doing business with the Teacher Aid Program as an institution of higher learning.
The Ministry calls on Authorities of the Teacher Aid Program to desist from illegal operation as it violates and contravenes the Higher Education Act of 1989 which created the National Commission on Higher Education.
The Ministry assures the Public of its effectiveness and efficiency and stands ready to expose any institution operating illegally in the Country and lauds the National Commission on Higher Education for its swift oversight which exposes the illegal operation of the Teacher Aid Program.
